Google Search Will Now Warn Users about Compromised or Hacked Websites

Internet search giant Google has been known for providing its users with the best of products and services and it does have its focus on the safety and privacy of these very users.  Earlier this month we told you that Google was launching a crackdown against internet piracy and now the company is focusing to win the fight against malware and spammers, therefore it will now inform users when a website listed in its search engine has been compromised.

So how exactly will this feature work? Well if the search engine senses that a particular website has been hacked and compromised by a third party, Google will then show a simple message under the search result in question: “This site may be compromised.” And when a user will click on this linked text, they will be taken to a page in Google’s help center which will explain the situation of the website that has been compromised or hacked.

There has already been a feature around on Google for the past couple of years that informs the users when they’re about to visit a website that may have malware, however now apart from showing the above mentioned warning in the search results, Google will also try contacting the webmaster of that particular website through Webmaster Tools and of course, their valid known email addresses.

The new feature by Google would most definitely be appreciated as it will help users to not feel insecure about their privacy while visiting random websites on the internet, if all goes well, this feature by Google just might end up substantially reducing privacy related risks on the Internet.

Google's new browser can map human body in 3D

After its 'Street View' programme, Internet search engine Google has developed a new browser that can map out the entire human body.

The hi-tech 3D application, called 'Google Body Browser', has been hailed as a breakthrough in the study of anatomy that could revolutionise people's understanding of the human body and fast-track medical research, reports the Daily Mail.

The gadget, yet to be officially released, lets you explore the human body in much the same way you can navigate the world on Google Earth.

The new browser also ushers in the introduction of brand new Internet technology called WebGL, that will allow complex 3D graphics to be used on normal web pages, without the need for specially adapted browser plug-ins like Flash or Java.

It is likely to be the perfect tool for those hypochondriacs who like to use Google to find out what is ailing them and who will get a gruesome thrill from analysing every last vein.

Until recently, Google has been tight-lipped about the application's development, but a new video appearing on the Internet provides a sneak peek at how the new tool will work.

In the video, the browser is used to dissect the human body and identify organs, bones and muscle groups.

The body can be turned, manipulated and stripped to the bare bones to show how its functions work and connect.

Ahead of its official unveiling, Google has released a version available on WebGL-supported browsers or beta versions of Firefox and Google Chrome, which can be downloaded from the Google Body Browser site.

Google opens store for Chrome users

Google has started up a portal for downloading extensions and web applications to its Chrome internet browser.

The Chrome Web Store splits apps into nine themed categories, including games, education, news and services, reports the company.

The download site can only be accessed via the Google browser. Users of other browser systems are urged to download and install Chrome if they try to access the store.

The expansions and applications have been designed with an eye toward the new HTML5 web standard. The Themes area includes guidelines for setting the graphical interface of a browser to reflect one's personal choices.

The store also gives software designers the chance to sell or give away their wares. The new portal replaces the gallery where users have, until now, bought apps for Chrome. According to Google, the number of Chrome users tripled this year to 120 million.
